We'll have fun wherever we go

Off to the tropical medicine doctor today to get my shots for our trip in March. The form asked where I was going to go, for how long, and in what order. There was space to write three countries. I wrote "not confirmed yet" and then listed (some of) the destinations we've been talking about: Ethiopia, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, South Africa.... I left it at that. The doctor was surprised and asked why things were up in the air. I explained that we were going to decide soon. A few moments later the doctor was preparing the syringes and I noticed a poster for Zambia. "I notice your Zambia poster...that would be a great place to go." He burst out laughing. He said "You'll have fun wherever you go." He's right. Susan and I have had great trips over the years. We've come to love the unknown parts of the road. The sidetrips that take you to places you didn't even know you were looking for.
